 Reports to: Chef de Partie
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Butcher to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will handle and prepare all meat requirements in the kitchen to the highest quality standards, ensuring consistency, proper portioning and food safety.
 The role also includes manning live carving stations and guest-interactive buffet services.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim and prepare various meats according to menu and kitchen requirements.
 - Perform live carving and guest-interactive service during buffets and special events.
 - Ensure proper storage and labeling of all meat products.
 - Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
 - Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or spoilage.
 - Ensure portion control and minimize wastage.
 - Work closely with chefs to meet kitchen production and event requirements.
 
Qualifications and Skills
- Certificate in Food Production, Butchery or related field.
 - Minimum 3 years' experience as a Butcher, preferably in a 4-star hotel or fine-dinning environment.
 - Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation and presentation techniques.
 - Skilled in live carving and guest-interactive service.
 - Excellent knife-handling skills, meat cutting machine and attention to detail.
 - Reliable, organized and able to work efficiently under pressure.
