Assistant Credit Controller

Job Title: Assistant Credit Controller
Reports to: Credit Controller

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Credit Controller to support our Finance team.
The role is key in ensuring effective credit management, timely collections and maintaining strong client relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the hotel's debtor accounts to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
  • Following up on outstanding payments, resolve client queries and maintain accurate debtor records.
  • Support in reviewing credit applications, setting credit limits and monitoring account performance.
  • Prepare regular debtor reports, ageing analysis and highlight potential risks.
  • Liase with sales, front office and events teams to ensure accurate billing and smooth credit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures and credit control standards.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Credit Controller.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in credit control or accounts receivable, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in hotel accounting systems (Opera, Fidelio, Sun) and MS Excel.
