Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: General Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation, upkeep and safety of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, equipment and utilities.
This leadership role requires strong technical expertise, team management skills and a commitment to delivering high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities across the hotel, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general repairs.
- Lead, train and schedule the maintenance team to ensure timely response and preventive maintenance.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, safety checks and energy conservation programs
- Oversee the upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house and critical hotel systems.
- Manage departmental budgets, control costs and monitor inventory of tools and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Liase with contractors and service providers for specialized works and projects.
- Provide regular reports and updates to hotel management on maintenance operations
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in hotel maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building systems.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational needs.
